How to deal with blast furnace slag

10 Aug,2022 UTC+8 Views:

Blast furnace slag is a by-product of the ironmaking process. In the process of iron making, iron oxide is reduced to metallic iron, and impurities such as silica and alumina in iron ore react with lime to form a melt with silicate and aluminosilicate as the main components, which are then quenched to form a molten metal. The loose and porous granular material is blast furnace slag. The chemical composition of slag is CaO, SiO₂, Al₂O₃, MgO, MnO, Fe₂O₃ and other oxides and a small amount of sulfides such as CaS, MnS, etc.
In industrial production, slag plays an important role, especially in some major factories. Slag can be refined and processed into slag cement, slag micro powder, slag Portland cement, etc. So what kind of equipment can effectively process blast furnace slag?

The GRMS slag vertical mill produced by CHAENG integrates crushing, grinding, drying, powder selection and conveying, and a new type of powder separator is used. The specific surface area of the finished product can be flexibly adjusted within the range of 400~550㎡/kg High grinding efficiency, large drying capacity, low noise, low power consumption and simple process flow. So far, CHAENG has established successfully more than 100 slag production lines in the world.
In addition to blast furnace slag, chaeng can also undertake EPC turnkey services for steel slag/nickel slag/manganese slag powder production lines.
